Management of the axilla
Locoregional treatment, including surgical management of breast cancer, continues to evolve. This issue illustrates some trends and recent developments in the management of the axilla. It is becoming increasingly possible to maintain oncological outcomes whilst minimising morbidity and streamlining pathways. This results in improved outcome for patients, reduces inconvenience and cost, and minimises delays to adjuvant therapies.
