Description/Abstract
We consider a deterministic model for road trafic flow on large regular networks. The key input is a local turning law which describes drivers’ responses to nearby trufic levels. Some solutions to the resulting set of differential equations are presented. They are compared with results from test case stochastic simulations. There is good agreement and this validates our simplified approach.
