Description/Abstract

While to date only a few research studies have looked specifically at the use of Interactive Whiteboards in the teaching and learning of mathematics, the studies that have been reported have begun to look at the specificities of the nature of learning interactions possible with this form of technology and how this might differ from interactivity possible without digital technology. The central importance of the skill of the teacher continues to be a key aspect of classroom interactivity. Several research projects are currently underway and are only just beginning to report. There is much scope for further studies.
