Description/Abstract
The title compound, [Sn-2(C6H5)(6)(BHO3)].C7H8 or (Ph3SnO)(2)-B(OH).C7H8, is an unexpected diester produced during an attempted recrystallization of (Ph3Sn)(3)B3O3. A planar central B atom is coordinated to two Ph3Sn groups through ester linkages, and to a hydroxide group.
