Description/Abstract

This paper reports the first chemical synthesis of α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-β-D-galactopyranosyl-O-hydroxylysine, a glycoside of hydroxylysine important as indicator of skin and bone collagen turnover, starting with commercial compounds.
