Description/Abstract

The Geodise project brings computer scientists and engineer's skills together to build up a service-oriented computing environmnet for engineers to perform complicated computations in a distributed system. The workflow tool is a front GUI to provide a full life cycle of workflow functions for Grid-enabled computing. The full life cycle of workflow functions have been enhanced based our initial research and development. The life cycle starts with a composition of a workflow, followed by an instatiation of the worklow, further processing to validate the workflow, and it finally ends witha a submission of the workflow to a Grid-enabled Matlab enactment enginer. Further more, the workflow tool integrates computation, database, knowledge, and Grid technologies to share hardware, software and data resources within and across boundaries of organisations.
