Contemporary child health policy: the implications for children's nurses (Chapter 3)
Contemporary child health policy: the implications for children's nurses (Chapter 3)
The primary aim of this chapter and its companion PowerPoint presentation is to investigate the relationship between child health policy and changes in the pattern of care delivery by children’s nurses in the UK since 1959. Although it is not possible to cover all reports or indeed contemporary policy from other countries, a comprehensive range of published reports that demonstrate the complexities of child health policies is reviewed and the success or otherwise of government reforms is discussed. The role of the Health Service Ombudsman is outlined.
