Description/Abstract
We consider strict feedback systems with are functionally known up to a (weighted) $L^2$ measure of uncertainty. A modified $L^2$ performance cost functional is introduced, this incorporates both state and control effort terms, and the performance of a class of model based adaptive controllers is studied. A worst case upper performance bound is derived in terms of the uncertainty measure.
