Description/Abstract
Recently there has been a considerable effort devoted to intelligent joint speech coding and iorward error correction (FEC) coding [I] as well as to equal [2] and un-equal protection coded modulation [3]. In reference [4] Hagenauer introduced an intelligent framework for considering source significance-, channel state- and decoder reliability-information in order to achieve the best possible performance over fading channels.
