Irregular Precoder-Aided Differential Linear Dispersion Codes

Irregular Precoder-Aided Differential Linear Dispersion Codes
Irregular Precoder-Aided Differential Linear Dispersion Codes
Abstract—In this treatise, we propose a novel family of serial concatenated IrRegular Convolutional Coded (IRCC) IrRegular Precoded Differential Linear Dispersion Codes (IR-PDLDC). The irregularity imposed on both the outer and inner codes allows the proposed scheme to operate across a wide range of SNRs, while maintaining an infinitesimally low BER. Each coding block of the IR-PDLDC scheme is designed with throughput maximization in mind, using Extrinsic Information Transfer (EXIT) charts. The proposed scheme is capable of providing a high throughput for SNRs in excess of ρ = -12dB.
