Description/Abstract

A number of nanobiomaterial fabrication approaches have been developed which exploit the recognition properties of DNA. We are currently developing these approaches for i) the detection of single molecules (or low copy numbers) of DNA in the solution and on patterned surfaces for the direct detection of markers for hereditary and infectious diseases and cancer and ii) novel nanoelectronic devices.
