Description/Abstract
An analysis of the struggle and mentality of Czech and German nationalist activists on the Czech-German language border (1880-1940). The article focuses on three sections of the border as case studies and assesses how far the claims of the activists matched the realities on the ground and how far their work fomented anatagonism between Czechs and Germans
