Abstract

An 1-kJ laser system GENBU has been conceptually designed by using a large-aperture active-mirror amplifier with a cryogenic Yb:YAG ceramic, as a milestone for a new IFE reactor driver. A 1-J system "GENBU-Kid" is under construction for power-scaling up to 1 kJ.
