How does it feel to be a mother whose son is accused of
rape?

A Jewish mother living in the suburbs of Toronto finds herself suddenly trapped in “house arrest” surrounded by hordes of reporters, while her 17-year-old son accused of rape awaits trial.

Soon enough, even before the trial, and despite the fact that the rape has yet to be proven, to her great astonishment she discovers that the media has accused her of neglecting her son and that his misdeeds have resulted from this neglect and the defective education that he received.
An army of reporters surround her home, eagerly documenting everything that goes on in her house just to get a scoop, while the accused’s mother desperately struggles for a sense of normalcy.

An intense and riveting drama.

Young Canadian playwright Evan Placey’s new play about the media age, where the media invades people’s lives, seeking to make them a headline.

This play had a successful run at the Courtyard Theatre in London.
