Description/Abstract
This book gives an overview of the wide range of recent changes within the NHS, local government and the independent sector, relating to health, housing and social care for older people in England. It explores the background to the last decade of change, and explains the more important aspects for older people with ongoing care needs: knowing what help is available, and from whom; gaining access to services; the standards and quality of services; paying for care; how organisations should be communicating with users and carers.
