Description/Abstract
This report describes a major Government sponsored study (total cost around £2,000,000) of a highly controversial and politically sensitive issue. Publication was delayed until the issue was taken up by National Media 'Minister sits on damning report of Heathrow Noise' The Times 4th Oct 2007. The resulting controversy may have contributed to the cancellation of the proposed Heathrow Third Runway project in 2009.
