As the festive season approaches it is worth noting the launch of the Alcohol Health Alliance which was officially announced on 13 November 2007 under the auspices of the Royal College of Physicians (www.rcplondon.ac.uk/alcoholalliance/). The alliance is consists of 21 auspicious bodies including the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), all of who are concerned at the rising medical toll of alcohol misuse
