Description/Abstract
An edition of the early Middle English work called in one of its two early-thirteenth-century manuscripts 'Epistel of Meidenhad' (letter on virginity), offering a critical text drawing on both manuscripts. It also includes an extended introduction discussing its historical, theological, and literary context, notes on the text, and a full glossary.
