Description/Abstract
To this end, largerUTC centres will often have a research and development section concerned with the development of control strategies and instruments to achieve the policy objectives.A subsidiary role of UTC is the collectionof traffic data which may be used for the testingof future policy options, planning decisions support, the identification and testing of technical enhancements, and general network and system monitoring functions.
