We report the first room temperature laser operation of Tm3+:LiNbO3. The gain medium was a Ti-indiffused waveguide with active laser doping by thermal indiffusion. Lasing occurred at 1.85µm and results are presented for devices in single-domain, multi-domain, and periodically poled material.
