Description/Abstract

The book discusses the multiple perspectives associated with the notions of globalisation and internationalisation in HE. It is divided into four sections. the first section discusses theretical and strategic perspctives and reviews a range of theretical models of globalisation and how these models can be applied to the context of HE. The second section discusses management and empirical perspectives exploring how governments and institutions respond to the impact of globalisation. The third section of the book discusses a range of case studies of the adoption of internationalisatiopn in different countries including Spain, China, Australia and the UK
