The purpose of this paper is to invite interested researchers to partake in a comparison exercise to compute axisymmetric flows in a model of the Czochralski crystal growth melt. We describe four test problems for the numerical simulation of axisymmetric flows in Czochralski crystal growth which form the basis of a numerical comparison exercise, the need for which emerged at the First NATO Workshop on Computer Modelling in Crystal Growth From the Melt.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to invite interested researchers to partake in a comparison exercise to compute axisymmetric flows in a model of the Czochralski crystal growth melt. We describe four test problems for the numerical simulation of axisymmetric flows in Czochralski crystal growth which form the basis of a numerical comparison exercise, the need for which emerged at the First NATO Workshop on Computer Modelling in Crystal Growth From the Melt.
