Past Forward: a vision for school history 2002-2012
The Past Forward conference was a celebration of recent trends in history teaching and a chance to reflect critically on where history education needs to go. The conference was attended by over 130 leading figures from the world of history education, including many teachers and heads of history, academic historians, representatives from the DfES, the QCA, the examination boards, teacher training, LEAs, publishers and other organisations. The seminar discussions were focused on history for all, continuity and progression, GCSE, AS/A2, university and school history, historical significance, citizenship and identity, interpretations, ICT and print and electronic resources
