Homoerotika v sudetonemeckem mladeznickem hnuti. Teorie a praxe Heinze Ruthy.
This chapter analyses homosexuality in the Sudeten German youth movement in interwar Czechoslovakia using the case study of Heinz Rutha, the most prominent youth leader of his time. It explains how Rutha coopted theories from Plato and Stefan George in order to promote a Maennerbund which would lead a regenerated Sudeten German nationalist movement in Czech and central European space. The chapter appears in a book which is seminal: the first attempt by Czech historians to bring together ideas about the history of same-sex relationships in the modern Bohemian lands.
