Modeling and vibration analysis of an active vibration isolation demonstration rig
Modeling and vibration analysis of an active vibration isolation demonstration rig
In this investigation, modeling and vibration analysis of an active vibration isolation demonstration rig in DG lab of ISVR is made. The demonstration rig is an active vibration isolation system for an equipment structure attached by four mounts to a flexible base structure. A secondary actuator is fitted in parallel with each mount so that they apply forces between the base plate and the equipment. A general approach based on Rayleigh-Ritz method, which can be applied to rectangular plate with various boundary conditions, is used to model the flexible base. Influence of the attached four secondary actuators on vibration characteristics of the base plate can be taken into account conveniently. The simulation and experimental results are given and discussed.
