Thinking together with ICT and primary mathematics

Thinking together with ICT and primary mathematics
Thinking together with ICT and primary mathematics
The Thinking Together approach gets children thinking. Research has shown that talking and thinking together while using computers can develop reasoning skills and improve learning. Mathematics software, especially team strategy games played against the computer, provide a tremendously motivating context for children to learn how to think.
This pack provides teachers and teacher trainers with everything that they need to start Thinking Together with ICT in mathematics. Everything in it has been tried and tested and shown to work. It is the product of a Nuffield funded Open University research project working in collaboration with SMILE. While the pack has been developed to support effective INSET it could equally well be used by individual teachers.
