Thermal transport in free-standing GaAs wires in a high magnetic field
Thermal transport in free-standing GaAs wires in a high magnetic field
We have studied electron heating effects in free-standing GaAs wires subjected to magnetic fields of up to 20 T, applied both parallel and perpendicular to the long axis of the wires: the purpose of these measurements is to determine the contribution of one-dimensional (1D) phonons to the thermal conductivity of the wires.
