In this article, I use empirical data from one primary and one secondary school to explore inclusive practice in schools and argue that despite schools taking and implementing inclusive educational practices, this alone does not influence teachers’ attitudes towards Gypsy and Traveller pupils in schools neither does it encourage positive attitudes towards these groups (or change negative attitudes towards them), rather in some cases, such practices work to emphasise the difference and outsider status of these groups in which they are further marginalised in the school space.
