An error indicator for finite difference methods using spectral techniques with application to aerofoil simulation
This work focusses on the development of an error indicator which can be used to determine areas of insufficient numerical resolution in unfiltered finite difference simulations. The approach adopts spectral techniques, applying small-domain Fourier transforms to a finite number of blocks which span the domain. The indicator is evaluated in the context of a NACA-0012 aerofoil simulation.

Abstract
