The Devil's Wall: the Nationalist Youth Mission of Heinz Rutha
A new analysis of the Sudeten German nationalist mentality in central Europe in the early 20th century through a case study of the prominent youth leader Heinz Rutha. The book assesses for the first time the subject of homosexuality, youth and fascism in a Sudeten German context, and provides a radical evaluation of the nationalist clash in Czechoslovakia that led to the Munich crisis of 1938. This occurred after the 'Rutha scandal', one of the most notable homosexual scandals in interwar Europe.
