Jacques Nimki
31 January 2004 - 13 June 2004
Elements of feral flora are drawn onto the freshly plastered walls of the newly created stairwell. Jacques Nimki’s wall drawings of weeds harvested from Camden Arts Centre’s Garden continue to appear, tracing areas of human rest and activity. To Jacques Nimki, the weeds he collects on his walks and cycles around London are as fascinating as any orchid to a world-travelling botanist. In his large drawings on paper they appear delicately intertwined in complex layers.
