Madame Arkwrights Salons: Live Art Performance
05 March 2006 - 19 March 2006
Organised in collaboration with Sally O’Reilly
The theatricality of early spiritualism provides a formal and conceptual starting point for these artists’ commissions. During four evenings of performances artists, writers and actors explore issues that arise from the Hilma af Klint exhibition and apply them to their own practices. Each event comprises the presentation of a theme, by way of a theatrical documentary based on the format of a Living Newspaper. It includes new work by Tom McCarthy, Peter Arnold, Margarita Gluzberg and Zoe Walker.
