Record type: Book Section

This paper presents the research of a wreck from the early 1500s lost at Franska Stenarna, the Namdofjard in the Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden. The paper discusses the nature of the ship, its possible identity and the ways in which it manifests not only specific historical events associated with an emergent Swedish state but the processes by which medieval Europe became modern.
