First demonstration of thermal poling in holey fibres
Thermal poling of holey fibres is demonstrated for the first time. Non-phase matched second harmonic generation with a ~10-8/W conversion efficiency was observed and the electro-optic coefficient was measured to be ~0.02pm/V
