Description/Abstract

Friedel-Crafts acylation with various acyl chlorides of resin-bound 3,4-dimethoxyphenylacetate afforded resin bound ketones which, following treatment with hydrazine, were converted into the corresponding 2,3-benzodiazepines in good yields and purities.
