Emergency department management of children (Chapter 24)
The primary aim of this chapter and its companion PowerPoint presentation is to review emergency care for children and the role of children’s nurses in emergency departments. The role of the children’s nurse in maintaining the integrity of the family unit during emergency interventions is highlighted. A case study scenario based around a child with epilepsy is utilised in this chapter.
