Cooperative Work in Microcosm
Cooperative Work in Microcosm
This report reviews the reasons why it was considered necessary to incorporate cooperative functionalities in the open hypermedia system Microcosm developed at Southampton. We report the modifications required to incorporate such functionalities into a single-user application. The result of this development is a system that incorporates many powerful technologies: Hypermedia, CSCW, OODBMS, Information Retrieval, and Version Control. We also explain in the report the functionalities and awareness information provided and discuss future work.
