A Parallel Navier-Stokes Code for Large Industrial Flow Simulations
The design of modular and flexible code and data structures in a multi-block environment are considered of primary importance for an optimal exploitation of distributed memory machines, which in turn allows the reduction of the turnaround time for large scale aerodynamics simulations. The objective of this article is to describe a newly developed block-structured Finite-Volume Navier-Stokes code, called Tharros, that can efficiently solve large scale industrial flow problems on distributed memory machines.
