Optimal Decision Feedback Equalizer for M-PAM Signals Using a Support Vector Machine Solution
The authors propose a method of designing the linear-combiner decision feedback equalizer (DFE) for $M$-PAM signals using a support vector machine (SVM) technique. This SVM design achieves asymptotically the minimum symbol error rate (MSER) solution and can be computed efficiently.

Abstract

The authors propose a method of designing the linear-combiner decision feedback equalizer (DFE) for $M$-PAM signals using a support vector machine (SVM) technique. This SVM design achieves asymptotically the minimum symbol error rate (MSER) solution and can be computed efficiently.
