Magnetically Actuated Microfabricated Devices for Application in Molecular Probe Chemistry
SEM photo of a microfabricated cantilever paddles for application in molecular probe chemistry. To actuate the cantilever an array of magnetic pillars are electroplated on the top of the paddle. A time varying magnetic field is applied. Piezoresistive strain sensors at the base of the cantilevers allows the motion of the device to be detected.

Abstract
