Preparation and characterization of bioceramics produced from calcium phosphate cements
Preparation and characterization of bioceramics produced from calcium phosphate cements
The present work reports a method for preparing calcium phosphate\nceramics by calcination of calcium phosphate cements composed mainly of\ncalcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA). It was found that hardened\ncements calcinied at temperatures from to 600 degrees C to 1300 degrees\nC were transformed to tricalcium phosphates. Moreover the compressive\nstrength was determined and porosity was estimated as a function of the\ncalcination temperature. (C) 2010 WILEY-VCH Veflag GmbH & Co. KGaA,\nWeinheim
