Plasmonic toroidal response at optical frequencies
The toroidal spectral responses of integrating four gold U-shaped split-ring resonators (SRRs) at optical frequencies are numerically studied. Based on the distribution of the near-field patterns of the plasmonic resonances, we obtain toroidal and magnetic resonances concentrated by magnetic dipoles around the SRRs at free space wavelength 660 nm and 952 nm, respectively.

Abstract
