SAGE: simulating social policy in an ageing society

SAGE: simulating social policy in an ageing society
SAGE: simulating social policy in an ageing society
This paper is an edited version of the original application submitted to the ESRC in February 1998 under the Future of Social Policy Initiative. The SAGE Research Group (Simulating Social Policy in an Ageing Society) aims to carry out research on the future of social policy within an ageing society. At the heart of this is the construction and use of a dynamic microsimulation model, which will facilitate an assessment of the impact of different policy options. This will create a unique national resource with which to make evidence-based social policy projections for the twenty-first century.
