Evaluation of Marie Stopes family planning programme in Pakistan. Report of Phase I: Baseline
The background to this 2-year evaluation project assessing the local impact of the Marie Stopes programme of new clinics in Pakistan, which involved 5338 individual interviews and 48 focus groups, is described. Findings concerning the knowledge and approval of family planning, methods of contraception used, and the use of and demand for family planning services are briefly presented. Work proposed for round 2 of the study is outlined.
