A highly enantioselective organocatalytic oxindole addition to ?,?-unsaturated aldehydes is reported. The reaction is catalyzed by simple and commercially available chiral secondary amines, affording the corresponding adducts with good yields and with moderate diastereoselectivities.

Abstract

A highly enantioselective organocatalytic oxindole addition to ?,?-unsaturated aldehydes is reported. The reaction is catalyzed by simple and commercially available chiral secondary amines, affording the corresponding adducts with good yields and with moderate diastereoselectivities.
