A rapid and sensitive method for analysing the genome profiles of field isolates of rotavirus
A rapid and sensitive method for analysing the genome profiles of field isolates of rotavirus
The direct extraction of double-stranded (ds) RNA from virus-infected faeces has provided a method for analysing a large number of field isolates of rotavirus simultaneously. 3' terminal labelling of the extracted RNA with [32P]Cp using T4 RNA ligase has been employed to give a very sensitive and reproducible method for visualising the rotavirus genome RNA profiles.

Abstract
The direct extraction of double-stranded (ds) RNA from virus-infected faeces has provided a method for analysing a large number of field isolates of rotavirus simultaneously. 3' terminal labelling of the extracted RNA with [32P]Cp using T4 RNA ligase has been employed to give a very sensitive and reproducible method for visualising the rotavirus genome RNA profiles.
