Phase transitions induced by ultrafast laser writing in transparent materials
Evidence of the first order phase transition associated with self-assembled nanostructures formation during ultrafast laser writing in silica glass is demonstrated. Supercooled state of laser damage is observed using pulses with tilted intensity front.
