Cladding-pumped Er/Yb-doped multi-element fiber amplifier for C+L band operations
Cladding-pumped Er/Yb-doped multi-element fiber amplifier for C+L band operations
A cladding-pumped multi-element fiber comprising 4-Er/Yb-doped signal fibers and single multimode pump fiber has been used to demonstrate a C+L split-band amplifier. The signal fibers were cascaded to provide >20dB gain over 80nm bandwidth.
