Robust mode-selection in optical bottle microresonators
We have demonstrated a robust and accurate method of selecting whispering gallery modes in optical bottle microresonators (BMR) by inscribing scars on BMR’s surface by focused ion beam milling. A "cleaned-up" transmission spectrum was obtained after microstructuring.
