GeTe4 channel waveguides for the mid-wave infrared spectral band
High contrast (Δn ~ 1) GeTe4 channel waveguides were fabricated on ZnSe substrates by lift-off and RF-sputtering techniques. Waveguiding at 3.7µm was demonstrated using an Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO), for evanescent-field based biosensing applications.
