Abstract

High contrast (Δn ~ 1) GeTe₄ channel waveguides were fabricated on ZnSe substrates by lift-off and RF-sputtering techniques. Waveguiding at 3.7µm was demonstrated using an Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO), for evanescent-field based biosensing applications.
